Hey everyone, welcome back to Dr. Kuns’ Chiro Chat! I’m Dr. Wesley Kuns, and today we’re tackling one of the most common complaints I hear in my office—back pain. Whether it’s a dull ache or a sharp, shooting pain, back pain can seriously interfere with your workouts, your daily life, and your overall well-being.
But here’s the good news—most back pain is preventable and manageable with the right approach. So today, I’m sharing three key strategies to relieve back pain and prevent it from coming back.
The first one is to Keep Moving.
One of the worst things you can do for back pain? Stay still. Many people think that resting will help, but too much sitting or lying down can actually stiffen your muscles and joints, making the pain worse. Try gentle movements like walking, stretching, or yoga, and Avoid long periods of sitting. Set a timer to stand up every 30 minutes.
The next strategy is to Strengthen Your Core.
Your core muscles act as a support system for your spine. When they’re weak, your back takes on extra stress.
Exercises like planks, bridges, and bird-dogs help stabilize your spine.
Focus on slow, controlled movements—form is more important than reps.
Finally, Get Adjusted! If you’re constantly dealing with back pain, your spine might not be moving the way it should. Chiropractic adjustments restore proper alignment, relieve tension, and help your body heal naturally.
Back pain doesn’t have to control your life. If you’re dealing with stiffness, aches, or limited movement, take action now.
